The former owner of RCA, Thomson has unveiled their upcoming compact player, Thomson A1. It has a screen that is slightly larger than a 3-inch widescreen LCD, and you can find all the controls on this player on the edges of it. The A1 plays AVI clips at up to 24 frames per second and offers support for MP3, WAV, or WMA format. There is also an FM tuner and recorder for better convenient.

It’s expected to hit China market followed by States for 4GB ($106) or 8GB ($120) of flash memory.
