
HP has unveiled new Compaq laptops based on Intel Santa Rosa platform aimed for business users, HP Compaq 6520s, HP Compaq 6720s and HP Compaq 6820s. The Compaq 6520s is powered by Intel Core 2 Duo T5470 1.6GHz processor, Intel Graphics Media Accelerator X3100, 14.1-inch LCD screen, up to 2GB of RAM, 120GB 5400rpm hard drive, dual layer DVD burner, Wireless a/b/g. It runs on Windows Vista. The Compaq 6520s sets at affordable price.
The Compaq 6720s is a price-for-performance computer for SOHO professionals and comes with 15.4-inch glossy finish BrightView LCD screen. It features 1.8GHz Core 2 Duo T7100 processor, max 4GB RAM, 160GB 5400rpm hard drive, dual layer DVD burner, 802.11a/b/g/n wireless, Intel Graphics Media Accelerator X3100 with 384MB memory, and Windows Vista. It’s also equipped with ProtectTools to keep unauthorized users from playing with your machine and HP DriveGuard that reduce risk of corruption or loss of data and protect your notebook from system failures caused by operational shock. It starts at $599.
The Compaq 6820s is the largest of the lot with 17-inch widescreen display (glossy BrightView finish). Its the first model launched today to support ATI X1350 graphics card. Other features includes Core 2 Duo processor, up to 4GB RAM, max 160GB hard drive, a/b/g/n wireless, Blu-ray drive, and Vista. It starts at $999.
