fusionio 640GB flash-based storage PCIe card
Fusion-io, a new player in storage solution provider from Utah, has introduced a better alternative storage, the Fusion-io ioDrive. The ioDrive is based on a revolutionary silicon-based storage architecture known as ioMemory, improves storage performance by a “thousand fold” while simultaneously providing sustained, random access rates “hundreds of times faster” than the industry?s fastest storage devices. The card is a PCIe storage card which can be slotted into motherboards with a free PCIe slot. The memory card’s specifications are very impressive: 800MB/sec read speed, 600MB/sec write speed, and 100,000 IOPS (input/output per second) per PCIe x4 card. The card also provides high service life of eight years compared to the five year service life of mechanical hard drives. And finally when ioDrive’s ioMemory start to fatigue, the result is a reduction in available free space rather than data loss or sudden failure.

Epson S1C17701 16-bt RISCEpson S1C17701 16-bt RISC
Epson has developed a new 16-bit RISC MCU which contains 16 MB of memory space and features low power consumption and circuit size equivalent to an 8-bit microcontroller, the Epson S1C17701. The S1C17701 is a single-chip microcontroller featuring on-chip Flash ROM and a high-resolution dot matrix LCD driver. With 64 KB of Flash ROM, the product is ideal for software development and evaluation activities. Epson has utilized the low power consumption technology developed for its watch applications to achieve low current consumption (typically 2.5 µA during standby mode) and enable high-speed operation (8.2 MHz) with low operation voltage (1.8 V). In most cases, this product will allow customers currently using 8-bit microcontrollers to enjoy higher performance with the same power consumption. In addition, it will enable customers already using 16-bit microcontrollers to benefit from longer battery life as a result of low operating voltage.

Fujitsu U810 mini-notebook

Fujitsu U810
Fujitsu has released another mini-notebook, it’s a Tablet PC, or you can say it’s a notebook as well, Fujitsu U810. It’s very portable, weighs 1.5 pound only. It’s powered by an Intel A110 processor that used in Samsung’s UltraMobile PC, and allows for fairly easy and accurate thumb typing. Fujitsu prefers to call it a mini-notebook, mostly because it’s essentially a scaled-down version of its other convertible notebooks. It has a rotating screen, which can be swiveled and locked down like Fujitsu’s other Lifebook products. The U810 comes with alot of features such as biometric security, Webcam, keyboard light, stylus and a touch-screen interface, and some decently sized keys for such a small keyboard. It’s equipped with slots for SD cards, compact flash, USB, and has a port for an included Ethernet dongle and can connect to a docking station. Connectivity is also good with WiFi 802.11 a/b/g and Bluetooth capable.
