LG unveiled its touchscreen bar smartphone dedicated for providing a seamless navigation experience, the LG GT505. It comes with a 3-inch 256-color WQVGA (400×240 pixels resolution) display. The LG GT505 will come with WisePilot navigation preinstalled and quite naturally a built-in GPS receiver. Unfortunately the navigation license will be free only for the first month with a purchase necessary if you are to use it after that point. It seems LG GT505 will be using some new user interface, called A-class instead of the highly appreciated S-class one found in LG KM900 Arena and LG GC900 Viewty Smart. It also packs Wi-Fi, quad-band GSM and 3G with HSDPA connectivity and a 5 megapixel camera.

Sony has launched the latest VoicePLUS digital recorder, the Sony VoicePLUS ICD-UX. It comes with 3-in-1 which features a voice recorder, a MP3 digital music player and USB data storage, which perfect for both work and play. This slimmer and more compact ICD-UX series digital recorder is available in glossy red, black, silver and pink to complement the modern lifestyle of today?s technology products such as the colourful range of VAIO® CR series. Measuring only 3.44 cm in width, this voice recorder slips easily into pockets, making it easy to carry along. The VoicePLUS ICD-UX series will be available in 2GB, 1GB and 512MB of memory capacity, and comes with a pair of quality stereo headphones.

The 3-in-1 features in detail:

• Voice Recording. The ICD-UX provides recording up to 581 hours of voice data for a full day of lectures and interviews, both quality and long recording capability. With its built-in stereo microphone and 5 recording modes to choose from, users can ensure maximum quality output from each recording. The ICD-UX series is also equipped with Digital Pitch Control and Voice Operated Recording. Each session of a recorded conversation is saved as a MP3 file that allows easy sharing via email or playback on the Windows® media player.
• MP3 Playback. It has the built-in MP3 player with storage capacity of up to 545 MP3 songs and playback time up to 36 hours and 20 minutes . While playing back music, the ID3 tag-supported ICD-UX series can display the song title and artist name. With folders organised based on voice and music files, users can easily manage and search for the respective recorded voice files and favourite MP3 songs.
• Data Storage. Beside as a voice recorder, the ICD-UX also serves as a USB media drive for storage up to 2GB of documents and data with easy drag-and-drop transfer function for both Windows and MAC-operated PC. During this process, the recorder charges up at the same time.
