Toshiba announced its Slim Series PORTéGé notebook PCs, the Toshiba PORTéGé T110 and PORTéGé T130. Measuring less than one inch thin at its slimmest point and starting at 1.58kg, the ultra-thin PORTéGé series does not cut corners on features or performance. With Windows 7, power-efficient Intel ultra-low voltage processors, and hard drive protection with 3D motion sensors, the new ultra-thin Slim series Notebook PCs have the performance, flexibility and functionality that consumers have come to expect from standard-sized Notebook PCs, yet in a highly portable package. The Slim series are engineered to feature the comfort and convenience of a standard Notebook PC yet in an ultra-thin package. The PORTéGé Notebook PCs feature full-sized keyboards and full-sized Multi Touch Pads with Gesture Control, enabling greater flexibility to browse and control what’s happening on-screen with gesture commands. Equipped with Windows 7, ultra-fast DDR3 memory and lots of expansion ports, including HDMI-out, the new Slim series of PORTéGé Notebook PCs have the horsepower to handle the day’s tasks or evening’s entertainment. As spotted, HTC is planning the next Touch HD, the HTC Touch HD2 with Android OS instead of Windows Mobile as in the previous Touch. The new HD2 will most likely have better processor of 628 MHz compare to the current 528 Mhz Qualcomm in HTC Hero. Not much detail is known yet, it will likely feature the same 3.8-inch touchscreen.

LG unveiled its touchscreen bar smartphone dedicated for providing a seamless navigation experience, the LG GT505. It comes with a 3-inch 256-color WQVGA (400×240 pixels resolution) display. The LG GT505 will come with WisePilot navigation preinstalled and quite naturally a built-in GPS receiver. Unfortunately the navigation license will be free only for the first month with a purchase necessary if you are to use it after that point. It seems LG GT505 will be using some new user interface, called A-class instead of the highly appreciated S-class one found in LG KM900 Arena and LG GC900 Viewty Smart. It also packs Wi-Fi, quad-band GSM and 3G with HSDPA connectivity and a 5 megapixel camera.
