Lenovo has made an official debut at the Beijing Olympic on its new Mobile Internet Device (MID), the Lenovo IdeaPad U8. Authorized by the Beijing Olympic Organizing Committee, it comes in all black and silver finishes, sports a 4.8-inch touchscreen with weight of 10.6-ounce, features an 800MHz Intel Atom Z500 processor, 1GB of RAM (up to 2GB supported), 6GB SSD, dual cameras, 5-hour battery life, and support for mobile TV. The CMMB (China Multimedia Mobile Broadcasting) USB dongle shown above is being used to provide users with free, live coverage of the Olympic games and can receive other broadcast signals as well.

The APX 2500 is a applications processor that enables intuitive 3D user interfaces and engaging high-definition video on connected Windows Mobile phones.

Celluon, a leading Korean manufacturer of portable input applications, is planning to launch a virtual laser keyboard, Celluon CL850, in early September of this year. Based on Celluon’s sensor module, the CL850 makes use of its trademarked 3D electronic-perception technology to identify the location and movement of the typer’s fingers and transmit the input recognized by the sensor to the user’s device. Nokia has unveiled the Nokia 7900 Prism phone, a liquorice-black front with an anodized aluminum back cover which is coin-stamped and laser-etched in Nokia Prism’s signature diamond-cut design.
