NEC LCD Technologies introduced its new 22.5-inch (57-cm diagonal) amarphous-silicon TFT (thin film transistor) LCD (liquid crystal display), the NEC NL192120AC25-02. With its wide WUXGA (1920×1080) resolution, the new LCD boasts excellent picture quality, ideal for preview monitoring and verification use in broadcast stations and post-production studios. It features high luminance of 460 candelas per square meter (cd/m2), a wide color gamut of 97% (NTSC ratio) and a double frame rate of 120 Hertz to improve motion picture performance.

NEC has released a 30-inch professional LCD display to the market, the NEC MultiSync LCD3090WXQi. This LCD provides innovative display performance for users in the graphic design, photography, print production, and CAD/CAM industries. The LCD3090WQXi features ColorComp, which reduces LCD uniformity errors, and compensates for differences in color/grayscale and luminance, and advanced backlight technology, which enables the display to produce 102 percent of the NTSC color scale for unsurpassed color gradation. It provides 2560 x 1600 resolution, HDCP, 102 percent color gamut vs. NTSC, and 97.8 percent coverage of the Adobe RGB color space.
