Hitachi introduced two new LCD monitors in Japan market, the Hitachi 19LM-W1 and Hitachi 17LM-1. The 19LM-W1 features a 19-inch WXGA+ LCD screen and 1000:1 contrast ratio, while the 17LM-1 features 17-inch SXGA LCD screen and 800:1 contrast ratio. Both has a brightness of 300 cd/m2, and use a HDMI input instead of usual DVI.

Sony has unveiled its new BRAVIA LCD series in Europe, the Sony BRAVIA B4000 LCD screen. The design has been focused on transportability, style and practicality, which were built using the Sony 3P (Product, Process, Planet). It features a couple HDMI, a built in tuner and HD Reday technology. It is available with Pearl White and Glossy Mocha in 20, 23, and 32-inch.

Dell has launched a bigger LCD monitor in Japan, the Dell 3008WFP LCD. This 30-inch comes with DisplayPort, features 2 DVI-D (HDCP) ports and 1 HDMI DisplayPort, support display resolution up to 2560×1600 pixel (WQXGA), contrast ratio of 3000:1, and a 8ms response time.

After the previous E-series, BenQ has released a new gaming X-series LCD monitor. They are BenQ X900 with 19-inch display, X900W with 19-inch wide display, X2000W with 20-inch wide display and X2200W with 22-inch wide display. The X series monitors features Senseye+Game, PerfectMotion and AMA technologies, which give users an enhanced gaming experience. The Senseye+Game Technology delivers fine visual clarity, depth and richness. While, the AMA Technology improves gray to gray response time and brings clearer images for users, and the PerfectMotion technology brings a dynamic video display processing.
