Sanyo just announced a new in-dash entertainment system with integrated GPS navigation, the HD1700DT. It can be use to receive digital TV broadcasts which can be displayed on its 7-inch Sanyo NVA-HD1700DT comes with a 30GB HDD which stores all your media files as well as your maps, points of interests, and more. The optical drive on-board lets you also rip CD?s so you can all of your music in one place, as well as your favourite DVD titles.

GPS routing is intelligent and not only factors in typical traffic delays but also environmentally sound driving: the system will warn the driver when acceleration or braking is hard and threatens fuel economy.

Of course they didn?t leave out the good old AM/FM radio but it is enhanced with RDS text support. It will be available in Japan for equivalent of $2329.
