JVC today announced the debut of the Procision series, a pair of DLA projectors, JVC DLA-HD1 and JVC DLA-HD100. Both projectors feature full HD 1080p resolution.The DLA-HD1 comes with 15,000:1 contrast ratio without the use of a dynamic iris, while the DLA-HD100 comes with a native contrast ratio of 30,000:1. The new JVC Procision series was developed for the custom installation channel and the upscale home theater consumer those dealers serve.

Sony has unveiled a full high-definition 1080p BRAVIA projector, Sony Bravia VPL-VW200, that offer the ultimate in cinema-like performance for the home theater. The new Sony VPL-VW200 model features all-digital video signal processing via the BRAVIA Engine with its unique algorithms for noise reduction and color enhancement to deliver sharp, vibrant images. It delivers 35,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio when combined with Sony’s Advance Iris technology. Toshiba has announced a new projector, Toshiba TLP-WX2200U. The spec is not up to HD that is good for home entertainment, but it is suitable for business and education though. The new projector sports a 1,280 x 800 native resolution, 2,200 ANSI lumens, a 600:1 contrast ratio, natural color enhancement, image correction and VGA in/out. Toshiba has launched two new DLP projectors with the TDP-EW25 featuring a Super-Shot focus lens with a focus from 1.2m up to 1.5m. The TDP-EW25 projector has a WXGA resolution that support up to 1280×800pixels resolution, a brightness of 2600 lumens and a 2000:1 contrast ratio (for both the devices). For the 2nd model does not receive a Super-Shot focus lens, and has a resolution of only 1024×768 and a brightness of 2300 lumens. These two DLP projectors are fully compatible with any Windows version, from Windows Mobile 6 up to Vista.
