For Windows XP and Windows Vista users, you can expect for the new service pack. Microsoft has silently released Windows XP SP3 and Vista SP1 versions to a small group of testers. Tagged as 5.1.2600.3180 (xpsp.070718-2058) the 350MB XP Service Pack 3 includes fixes for over 900 reported problems, some of which have already been resolved with post-Service Pack 2 hotfixes. The Vista SP1 is being delivered to testers as the full ISO in 3.07GB (32-bit) and 4.3GB (64-bit) size. Expect them to be released by early next year.

It seems that the 2nd Generation of digital audio player from Microsoft Zune is confirmed. Two new models are named Scorpio (the new 80GB model) and Draco (the flash based model). Some of the information are quoted below:

We have seen the rumors floating around, but we haven?t announced specific dates or details for the next generation of the Zune devices or service. That said, Zune follows the cycle of the consumer electronics cycle so you can expect an update later this year prior to the holiday season.

It’s a cool day today, and I just got this piece of information. At it’s annual Worldwide Partner Conference yesterday, Microsoft announced the release dates for it’s next trio of products: Windows 2008, SQL Server 2008 and Visual Studio 2008. On February 27, 2008, Microsoft will launch these products in Los Angeles with a wave of kickoff events around the world to follow.
