Sharp has unveiled an ultimate video recording machine, a Blu-Ray dual Layer video recorder with 1TB of HDD, the Sharp BD-HDW20. Together with this is the Digital W TV Tuner (2 Digital tuners) with is best compatible with the DTS-HD, Dolby NR TrueHD, DTS-HD HRA. In addition to this model, Sharp also proposed a lighter version of the HDW20 with a 500GB HDD, the Sharp BD-HDW15, as well as the Sharp BD-AV10, which does not have an HDD. It also only has 1 Digital tuner. Finally, the cheapest Blu-ray recorder on the Japanese market, the Sharp BD-AV1, with a single Digital TV Tuner, only able to record 1 layer Blu-Ray discs.

Canon has released two multimedia projectors designed for extremely bright rooms and large environments, the Canon REALiS SX7 and Canon REALiS X700. These model comes with more advance feature compare to Canon LDC-3260K: 3000 ANSI DLP projector. The SX7 sports a 1440×1050 pixels resolution, and accepts computer and HD input through a DVI port with HDCP. It also sports three stereo inputs and one output. On the other hand, the X700 sports a 1024×768 pixel resolution, and a 1,000:1 contrast ratio. Both projectors run on LCoS systems, and are capable of producing 4,000 lumens of light. Amazingly, lamps in both projectors last about 3,000 hours under normal use.

Hitachi has released its latest plasma TV with support Full HD, Hitachi P60-XR01. This 60-inch monster boasts a resolution of 1920 x 1080, a contrast ratio of 10000:1, and a brightness of 1000 cd/m2. It adopted Hitachi’s proprietary e-ALIS technology, a technology that makes it possible to display a high-definition image of 768 lines using 384 scan electrodes, along with an iVDR-S player that lets users to directly record their favourite TV programme in HD format.

Toshiba has launched one of the lightest projectors on the market, Toshiba TDP-PX10U. Tipping the scales at just 2.9 pounds, the 2.6-inch thick projector sports a native 1024×768 resolution with scaling support for HD signals up to 1080i. It also sports a 2,220-lumen light source, and a 2000:1 contrast ratio to boot. Amazingly, the projector can run off a USB drive, and sports a single VGA port and RCA and S-video connections.
