Augmentix has announced a new industry first widescreen fully-rugged notebook for critical mission on military, industrial, government and commercial customers. This laptop is based on Dell’s Latitude mobile platform and comes with Augmentix Armored Protection System which includes a dense magnesium exoskeleton, over-mold protection system, and patent-pending QuadCool thermal management system. The XTG630 is based on Intel Santa Rosa platform with Intel Core 2 Duo processor up to 2.4GHz, 1280×800 pixels resolution screen, up to 4GB of RAM, Intel GMA X3100 graphics, 80GB HD, 32GB SSD, DVD burner, fingerprint reader, Bluetooth, Wireless a/b/g, GPS, EDVO Rev A, HSDPA 3.6. It runs on Windows Vista and is equipped with DirectVue display technology that dramatically improves viewability in direct sunlight.
